Biography

My research area focuses on spectroscopy of crystals and how they are structurally dependent on temperature. Using a variable-temperature terahertz time-domain spectroscopy and low-frequency Raman spectroscopy, I am working to understand how vibrational dynamics are related to bulk structural effects in molecular crystals. These interactions are important to quantify and investigate to further our understanding of solid-to-solid phase transitions. These phase changes can be seen and recorded using a temperature-controlled microscope stage, which is another part of my research.
