Biography
Salim earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, under the mentorship of Professor Emrah Ozensoy. Throughout his academic adventure, he engaged in various research endeavors encompassing heterogeneous catalysis, spectroscopy, and surface chemistry, contributing significantly to each project. He gained extensive experience with diverse instruments and analytical techniques.
Following the completion of his M.Sc. degree, Salim pursued an opportunity with RedoksLAB/Thermo Fisher Scientific, taking on a position of an engineer in the spectroscopy department. In this capacity, he improved his expertise in instrumentation, specializing in FTIR, UV-Vis, AAS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, and XPS systems.
Currently, Salim directs his research efforts towards comprehensively understanding THz waves, exploring their fundamental optical properties, and leading the development of sophisticated terahertz pump-probe systems, alongside other cutting-edge instrumentation.
