2nd International Symposium on Solid-State Materials Chemistry and Lattice Dynamics

Dates: July 23–24, 2026
Location: Hall of Contrari, Rocca di Vignola, Piazza dei Contrari, 4, 41058 Vignola MO, Italy

The 2nd International Symposium on Solid-State Materials Chemistry and Lattice Dynamics will bring together researchers working at the intersection of molecular and solid-state materials chemistry, crystallography, spectroscopy, and lattice dynamics. The symposium will feature presentations primarily from students and postdocs, with invited speakers including Prof. Daniel Mittleman, Prof. Mingoo Jin, Dr. Namhee Kim, and additional invited speakers to be announced.

Venue

The symposium will be held in the Hall of Contrari at the historic Rocca di Vignola, a medieval fortress in Vignola, Emilia-Romagna.

Registration and Support

Dinner will be covered for all symposium participants. Travel and accommodation are not covered, and participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation and lodging.

Travel to Vignola

Vignola is connected to Bologna by the local Bologna–Vignola railway line, which runs from Bologna Centrale to Vignola. The journey takes approximately 48–60 minutes, with regular service throughout the day.

From Bologna Centrale, participants should purchase a 4-zone ticket, approximately €4.50. From Vignola station, the Rocca di Vignola is approximately 700 m away and can be reached on foot.
