Research Interests
Keira is an undergraduate researcher at Cedar Crest College pursuing degrees in forensic science and chemistry. She developed an early interest in forensic science, which grew through years of curiosity about the field and was strengthened by her undergraduate studies. While studying forensic science at Cedar Crest, she discovered a deeper interest in chemistry, especially through organic chemistry.
Keira’s current research focuses on the modified Griess test and the colorimetric sensitivity of replacing β-naphthol in this assay. Through the IRES CRYSTAL Dynamics Program, she is excited to broaden her research experience and continue building connections between chemistry, materials characterization, and forensic science.
