Research Interests
Dominic is an undergraduate chemistry major at the University of Rochester. His research background includes organic synthesis and the characterization of small organic molecules using methods such as NMR spectroscopy and LCMS. His coursework has strengthened his interests in inorganic chemistry, advanced laboratory techniques, and X-ray crystallography.
As part of the 2026 IRES CRYSTAL Dynamics Program, Dominic is interested in developing stronger skills in single-crystal X-ray diffraction and in the analysis of structural disorder and vibrational motion in crystalline materials. He is also excited to learn how crystallographic, spectroscopic, and computational approaches can be combined to understand the dynamics of solid-state systems. Through the program, Dominic hopes to make a meaningful research contribution while continuing to develop as an independent scientist.
